Nathan Payne, DPM, has been a practicing podiatrist for over 6 years and is a board-certified wound specialist. He is certified as a Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management and specializes in advanced wound care, preventive podiatric medicine, and surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Payne is passionate about increasing access to care through innovative delivery models that bring high-quality podiatry directly to patients.
Dr. Payne earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2016, followed by a three-year surgical residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, where he gained advanced training in reconstructive surgery and comprehensive foot and ankle care. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University.
Following residency, Dr. Payne co-founded Valley Foot and Ankle Specialists in Grass Valley, California, where he provided both surgical and non-surgical care as a clinic owner and practicing podiatrist. In 2022, he founded Mountain West Podiatry, a mobile podiatry practice designed to serve homebound and at-risk patients. As owner and lead podiatrist, he continues to expand access to specialized podiatry and wound care services while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered outcomes.
